Man In Red
02 April 2008
HOLDEN Motorsport Manager - it sounds like the dream job for anyone whose blood runs red. Simon McNamara is the man who holds the keys to the cars, and to a certain extent the money coffers, for the teams in the red corner. It is a role that has as much prestige, in terms of history and influence, as any in V8 Supercar racing. And with it goes a great responsibility.

29 February 2008
Forget Spicks and Specks. Instead, try your hand at Slicks and
Specks!
Our third annual V8 Superquiz dishes up another serving of tasty touring car trivia to feed your brain over the summer break.
Just like the TV show, we present a series of themed quiz

There are 50-odd pointscoring brain-teasers to determine whether your brain is slick or sick.

Top Of The Pile
12 February 2008
Garth Tander still can't believe it. He is the 2007 V8 Supercar Championship Series champion. Twenty years of hard work have paid off. He has ticked all the boxes. He has become the best. Now all he needs is time for everything to sink in. Time to realise that he is the 2007 V8 Supercar champion. Time to realise 20 years of hard work has paid off. Time to realise that he has ticked all the boxes. Time to realise that he has become the best.

Iceman
10 February 2008
Pole position at Bathurst - it doesn't get any better than that. Skaife and Tander were the favourites for pole at the most testing race of the year, and yet it went to neither. Instead, it went to someone who just a couple of years ago was dismissed by many as a young man who had failed to fulfil his potential and was destined for mediocrity. But some still believed in him. Ford Racing boss Ross Booth was one, and he made damn sure FPR Sporting Director Tim Edwards knew Frosty was worth a second chance.
