V8 Supercars may be enjoying a "golden age" of profitability, but there are still a number of teams struggling. With some of these teams possibly ready and willing to look beyond Ford and Holden, there's never been a better time for a third manufacturer to get on board the V8 Supercar express. Toyota was the obvious choice, but - for the moment at least - it's shut the door on going V8 Supercar racing. Gordon Lomas caught up with Toyota Australia's David Buttner, and was told chapter and verse why the Japanese won't come and play with the big boys...
