The Mountain according to Mezera
30 Sep, 2006
Who will win Bathurst? Ask Tomas Mezera - he's tipped the winner for the last two years right here in the pages of V8X.
The ex-Czech who drove to victory with Tony Longhurst in 1988 is becoming
renowned for his fearless forecast of the
October classic, and his views on
this year's masters of the
Mountain are, er... honest.

Mt Panorama 2006 PREVIEW
30 Sep, 2006
Bathurst has for a long time been known as the Great Race, and while it remains that, it has changed in character. In the beginning it was an endurance race, then it became a long sprint. Now it has morphed into an endurance race that lasts until the final refill, when it transforms into a last-gasp sprint to the flag. What hasn't changed is the history and mystique that defines our most celebrated motorsport event.

Skaife day
30 Sep, 2006
It might be all fast cars and glamour on the surface, but being a top-flight V8 Supercar gun is an all-consuming business. V8X's Justin Collins shadowed Mark Skaife for a day at Oran Park to gain an insight into the life of a racing legend.

Caution: loose Stones ahead!
3 Oct, 2006
Stone Brothers Racing has had a tough year of it so far.
Broken cars, bruised egos and battered dreams have sunk the slipper into the flagship team of recent seasons. Not only have they had to bed-in new driver James Courtney, they have to try to maintain the reign of defending series champ Russell Ingall. V8X's Gordon Lomas investigates why SBR has so far struggled for traction in 2006.

Trickster
5 Oct, 2006
Few drivers in V8 Supercars are as misunderstood as Rick Kelly. The younger of two racing brothers, he looks to have had it easy - rich parents, plenty of opportunity and the sort of care-free attitude that enables him to put it all on the line umpteen times a year. But aside from a couple of Bathurst wins and some records as the youngest ever, he hasn't fulfilled his destiny. Andrew Clarke asked him how he plans to do it.

Shrinking Violet
7 Oct, 2006
Craig Gore could never be accused of sitting in the background, but in many respects that is what is happening now at WPS Racing - and it didn't happen overnight.
Gore and Mark Larkham sat down with V8X for this exclusive and frank chat at Queensland Raceway.
