Esteemed engineer/designer Ludo Lacroix shocked the Supercars pitlane when he left Triple Eight Race Engineering and accepted a position at DJR Team Penske.
V8X Supercar Magazine chats with respective team bosses Roland Dane and Ryan Story to discuss Lacroix's departure/arrival and his influence on the teams battling for supremacy in Supercars in issue #99.
Issue #99 is on sale now in stores with the digital edition available in the official V8X app (in the App Store and Google Play), online at DigitalEdition.V8XMagazine.com.au and in the Magzter app store.

"Despite what people might think, I'm extremely pragmatic and Ludo's run for Triple Eight was over, anyway," says Dane.
"He needed a new challenge and I needed to be able to give other people the ability to move up and Ludo represented the glass ceiling in the hierarchy of the business.
"My only frustration, as he well knows, is that he wasn't straightforward and honest with me last September, but we've put that behind us and we have no problem talking to each other these days."
According to Story, signing the Frenchman was never about trying to steel Triple Eight's secrets but about securing the best talent in pitlane.
"It's easy to speculate that Ludo's rocked up with a briefcase full of paperwork and hard drives of how Triple Eight have done things, but that simply is not the case and Roland also knows that's not the case," says Story.
"Ludo is a remarkable leader of people; the way that he empowers experienced personnel by giving them reassurance and confidence; the way that he develops young engineers; and the way he gives them an opportunity to learn on the job, to make mistakes and to understand why things need to be done a certain way."
