De-Brief Round 11
31 December 2007
Garth Tander's second pole position and third round win of 2007 strengthened his status as championship favourite, while the minor placegetters proved their naysayers wrong.

De-Brief Round 10 - The greatest race
30 December 2007
We wondered pre-Bathurst how the 2007 Supercheap Auto 1000 could ever top last year's dramatic affair. But the latest edition of the Great Race, with its unexpected climax, most certainly did.

Young Guns of Bathurst
06 December 2007
Mount Panorama, Bathurst. It is the furnace that casts Australian motorsport's great champions, from Peter Brock in 1972 and Allan Grice in 1986 to Craig Lowndes in 1994 and Garth Tander in 2000. No other track and no other race has such an impact on a young driver. V8X kept tabs on the progress of three young 'uns in this year's race, Will Davison, Shane Price and Lee Holdsworth, all of whom have marked themselves as future champions.

Where To From Here?
01 December 2007
Let's put it all into perspective. Russell Ingall's contract with Stone Brothers Racing ends this year. Check. Russell Ingall is a Ford contracted driver until the end of next year. Check. Russell Ingall has told V8X which team he will be driving for in 2008. Ummm, not quite, but it was worth a try...

The Price of Power
30 November 2007
They are the heart of V8 Supercar racing. But they are also the sport's biggest stumbling block to reducing costs. Calendar Crisis
27 November 2007

difficult about constructing dates for the Holden versus Ford series?

A Coming Of Age
25 November 2007
Jamie Whincup is better than Craig Lowndes.
Gets your attention, doesn't it? It's a very bold statement to make. Whincup is not yet through his fourth full V8 season and Lowndes is a three-times champion and Bathurst winner. But up to the time of writing this article Whincup was ahead on the scoreboard and that's how V8 Supercar racing measures drivers.

Bring It On
16 October 2007
Bathurst, and its little mate Sandown, are upon us again. Everyone has a theory on what it takes to win the Great Race and recent history suggests it's a relatively simple equation. Pulling it off is another matter. To begin V8X's 16-page Bathurst preview, we ponder what lies ahead at 'magic mountain'.

Larko's Line-Up
14 October 2007
For the first time in 13 years Mark Larkham won't be leading a V8 team into Bathurst. While it's a tad sad the Mt Panorama regular won't feature on race day, it does free the former Bathurst 1000 polesitter up to list his Supercheap Auto Bathurst 1000 contenders for V8X. Now clear of any team association - he's now enjoying life as a cattle farmer - Larko ranks his favourites and provides a frank assessment of their chances.
