Photographer Of The Year
31 Jan, 2008
It's time again to look back on the V8 Supercar season with Photo Of The Year (POTY).
Showcasing the snaps which took V8X into a league of its own, this year we celebrate two photographers, Michael Delaney and Mario Stefano, who are retiring from full-time shooting duties. Thanks for helping make V8X the visual delight it is today and we hope to see you around the tracks evey now and then.
So kick up your heels, grab a coffee and flick through our favourite shots of the sport's
famed cars and stars of 2007 as captured
by two of V8X's esteemed photographers.

Iceman
10 Feb, 2008
Pole position at Bathurst - it doesn't get any better than that. Skaife and Tander were the favourites for pole at the most testing race of the year, and yet it went to neither. Instead, it went to someone who just a couple of years ago was dismissed by many as a young man who had failed to fulfil his potential and was destined for mediocrity. But some still believed in him. Ford Racing boss Ross Booth was one, and he made damn sure FPR Sporting Director Tim Edwards knew Frosty was worth a second chance.

Top Of The Pile
12 Feb, 2008
Garth Tander still can't believe it. He is the 2007 V8 Supercar Championship Series champion. Twenty years of hard work have paid off. He has ticked all the boxes. He has become the best. Now all he needs is time for everything to sink in. Time to realise that he is the 2007 V8 Supercar champion. Time to realise 20 years of hard work has paid off. Time to realise that he has ticked all the boxes. Time to realise that he has become the best.

Supercars In Style
16 Feb, 2008
Nothing beats the Aussie way of watching a race meeting with a meat pie in one hand and a coldie in the other. But experiencing the Ford and Holden battle for supremacy the high-style way is fast becoming a fan favourite. And it won't empty the pockets as much as you think.

Slicks and Specks
29 Feb, 2008
Forget Spicks and Specks. Instead, try your hand at Slicks and
Specks!
Our third annual V8 Superquiz dishes up another serving of tasty touring car trivia to feed your brain over the summer break.
Just like the TV show, we present a series of themed quiz
segments. As much as we wanted to include one called 'Supercar Driver or Serial Killer?', we didn’t want Big Hair's kids to miss out on birthday presents due to their dad's colossal legal bills. But we have pinched Spicks and Speck's Sir 'Mix 'n' Matchalot' concept.
There are 50-odd pointscoring brain-teasers to determine whether your brain is slick or sick.
