The Cup a maniac? Hell, no!
I’m astounded by comments directed towards Jamie Whincup after
race three at the Melbourne GP. A number of drivers and team owners have made
some unfair comments towards Whincup which I believe are totally uncalled for.
Tim Edwards "maniac" comment if it wasn’t so offensive would have been pretty
hilarious because I have no idea where he pulled it from – maybe it’s the
glasses he wears! If you look at Eastern Creek, Whincup pulled off two of the
greatest battles of the weekend without incident – plus you don’t win the Barry
Sheene medal and come second in the championship by driving like a maniac. As
for Rick Kelly’s comments, how short is his memory – doesn’t he remember winning
a championship by punting somebody off the track! As far as the actual incident
goes I, for one, believe that Whincup’s black flag was a very harsh call
considering Winterbottom had him pushed right off the side of the track. Maybe
they should take a closer look at the footage rather then criticising one of the
most fairest drivers on track who even – though I believe wrongly – accepted
part of the blame. That showed true professionalism by Jamie, something you
would expect a team boss to show!

Welcome back DJR!
We’re Holden fans through and through but we do like to see the
teams that are struggling get up and win a few, especially DJR. Good job at
Eastern Creek boys, you’ve found a winning formula – now you just need to built
on it. Easier said than done, we know. It’s good to see a team that has been in
the game for many years getting back on top. Very nice effort at Bathurst also.
We were hoping Steve Johnson would bring it home for the team but a podium
finish at the great race is a outstanding achievement. Good luck boys.

Game on... or not
I’ve been seeing some videos on U-Tube about this game coming out
in June called The GRID. It said it’s TOCA 4. Will it be the next V8 Supercars
game and will it have V8 Supercars in it?
